Dec 5, 2018Christian was born in Barberton to Rachelle Owens and the late Ryan Smith. He would do anything to help someone and would do any odd job he could to make extra money. He loved skateboarding, fishing and his siblings and had so many friends. Christian was the funniest little dude and was super goofy and so brave and strong.Preceded in death by his father Ryan; and grandma Andrea Haught; He is survived by his mother Rachelle; brothers Ryan and Judah; sisters Alexys and Jasmyne; grandmother Robin Owens; grandfather Henry Smith; great-grandmothers Marilyn Haught and Larrie Hornacek; girlfriend Olivia Crowe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 4-6 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Funeral Service to follow at 6 p.m. A memorial dinner will follow at the Sokol Center, 888 W. Hopocan Ave., Barberton. Barberton detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy on 27th Street Northwest.Officers responded at about 6:27 a.m. The boy was taken to the hospital where he later died. According to police, the shooting was accidental.
